Field Music share new single 'Count It Up'!
Field Music have shared their new single ‘Count It Up’, taken from their upcoming album ‘Open Here’ – which is out 2nd February.
‘Count It Up’ is a wry critique of privilege that bounces along like an upside-down Material Girl. David Brewis explains:
“I didn’t want to write a song about “counting blessings” – that’s just not how I see things – but every time I’m tempted to judge someone else, I should keep in the back of my mind that I’m an educated, white, western male, with supportive parents. Pretty much every line in the song is something I can count up.”
New album ‘Open Here’ is available to pre-order on transparent 180g vinyl, CD and cassette from www.field-music.co.uk. Field Music have also announced a string of UK and European shows in 2018. The dates include special shows at the Barbican in London and The Northern Stage in Newcastle with strings, horns, woodwind and assorted percussion provided by the Open Here Orchestra.
