All The way live is a breakbeaty, old school hip-hop triumph featuring a genius sample from an early 80s after school rap club. Band leader Ian Parton says of the song:
“All the Way Live is just an all out brass attack set to some pretty cheeky rapping. Lots of the voices are sampled from a record made as a kinda after school hip hop project by students of Carver Senior High, Chicago in 1983. It wasn’t really the fact it was old skool that attracted me but the personality and cheekiness that was jumping off the vinyl. It’s always about personality over perfection for me.”
The Go! Team will be touring the UK, Europe and North America in 2018, tickets on sale now.

Nadine has shared new track ‘Not My Kinda Movie‘ – which has premiered on Stereogum today. It’s taken from their debut album ‘oh my’, out 26 January 2018.
Stereogum said of the track: “the jazzy and slinking “Not My Kinda Movie,” on which Hulett delivers her lines with a decisive clarity. “What comes to you twice as strong?/ What seeks you out and makes you feel?” she sings, the chorus gently driving her along. “Tell me there’s more to you than what you like.” Her accompaniment is enveloping and warm and easy to sink into, all magenta swirls and soft lines.”
The Go! Team have shared their new single Mayday – which premiered on BBC 6 Music and Stereogum today. It’s taken from their new album SEMICIRCLE, out 19 January 2018.
SEMICIRCLE opener Mayday is a Morse code inspired soul belter about a love emergency, in the proud lineage of ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘SOS’. Band leader Ian Parton says of the song:
“I’ve always wanted to do a song with Morse code in it and when I hit upon the idea of applying a mayday distress signal to love problems I was surprised it had never been done before. I’ve always loved those soul songs which equate boy trouble to emergencies – pure Shangri-las style melodrama, backcombed to oblivion.”
The Go! Team will be touring the UK, Europe and North America in 2018, tickets on sale now.
