Memphis Industries was established as a record label in 1998 with the first EP release of the Vangelis/Axlerod hybrid Blue States. Now into its 9th year and its time for Blue States' fourth album First Steps Into.....In the meantime Memphis have released albums from, in no particular order, Fort Lauderdale, The Go! Team, The Pipettes, Dungen, Field Music, Absentee, The Black Neon, The Squire of Somerton, The Ruby Suns, The Russian Futurists, J Xaverre, Broadway Project - in to that most eclectic mix Memphis are soon to add Arthur and Yu and Bricolage. Memphis Industries is run by Matt and Ollie Jacob. On the side they keep their hand in by managing The Go! Team.
