The Go! Team share Record Store Day "Ye Ye Yamaha" via Noisey

The Go! Team are following up their recent album “The Scene Between” with an exclusive Record Store Day 7″ ‘Ye Ye Yamaha’. The single is on yellow neon vinyl and has ‘Ye Ye Yamaha’ on the A featuring the vocals of Julie Margat aka Lispector and ‘Til We Do It Together’ on the B featuring vocals from Tween’s Bridget Battle.

Field Music share new track from RSD only album 'Music for Drifters'

Field Music are set to release a brand new instrumental album ‘Music for Drifters’ for this year’s Record Store Day, 18th April.

In 2013, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival commissioned Field Music, to compose a new cinematic score to accompany the seminal silent documentary, Drifters, by John Grierson, the pioneering Scottish filmmaker known for coining the term ‘documentary.’ The film follows the working day of a herring fishing fleet as they set sail from the Shetland Islands to battle the elements of the North Sea fishing grounds.

Now, having spent Autumn of last year revisiting the score in their Wearside studio, Field Music will release Music for Drifters as part of this year’s Record Store Day. Pressed on silver colour LP, Music for Drifters is the first completely instrumental recording made by Field Music, will be available exclusively via local record stores on Record Store Day, 18th April with a full release to scheduled for August.

Audiences across the UK will have the opportunity to experience Drifters with live accompaniment by Field Music at cinemas in Newcastle, Glasgow, Swansea, Belfast and Dublin from 24 April – 27 June. The tour brings reunites the original Field music line-up of Peter, David and keyboardist Andrew Moore.
