Cymbals Eat Guitars Lenses Alien Out this Week

Staten Island’s Cymbals Eat Guitars release their new album Lenses Alien this week. And a very fine piece of work it is too. Don’t take our word for it though – here’s justifiable praise:

“This is Cymbals Eat Guitars at an impressively high creative watermark still early in their career” DrownedinSound 8/10
“Dense with imagery and ambitiously complex music to match” The Guardian ****
“Another towering tumult from New Jersey’s noisests” Q

Which is nice.

Bad News

For those of you who are unaware, on Monday night our distributor’s warehouse was burned down, taking with it the stock of many fine indie labels great and small. With around 90% of our stock having been warehoused there, this obviously has implications for us in the short term. What we can say is that we will be repressing and getting our physical distribution in the UK and Eire back up and running as soon as is humanly possible.

In the meantime, what stock we have left is available for sale at our online store, and of course all our catalogue is still available digitally. Now would be a really good time to fill in those gaps in your Field Music collection, or get the Dutch Uncles album you always meant to buy.

Mainly, as Londoners born and bred, we wanted to say that it is a massively sad to see what is happening in our city, and our hearts go out to all the people who have lost homes and livelihoods in the course of the last three nights.
