According to his parents, Pete, aka J Xaverre, was a quiet child, far happier doing potato prints than playing with the other kids. Thus, a pattern was set. Either retreat to a cabin in the woods and become The Unabomber, or retreat to the bedroom and becoming a singer/ songwriter/producer (of the lo-fi persuasion). 18 years later, Kenickie - the teenage Garage Punk/pop group, for whom he drummed, guitared, produced and wrote songs - messily disband. Young pup Pete retreated to his native North East, and set to work. Listening to nothing but his old US lo-fi records, 70's Beach Boys, 'Tusk' by Fleetwood Mac, the first Paul McCartney solo album, and the Happy Hardcore mixtapes blaring from passing Ford Escorts, he wrote and recorded 50 + songs, all on his lonesome. Just how he likes it. After some spit and polish. including some fine flob from My Morning Jacket producer Dave Trumfio, the results can now be heard on his debut album "These Acid Stars".
